What is fanon?

 

Fanon or fanfiction are user-created stories that are derived from works in media. Fanon material may focus on the universe's characters or setting.

Getting started

 

Before writing your fanon, please make sure to go over the guidelines. Writing fanon material requires an understanding of the basics – that is, writing and conveying a story. Since much of the story's universe is already established, this makes the writing process that much easier. Fanon works typically revolve around the source characters, though many writers like to create their own and might write a story revolving around a different cast altogether in the same universe. Keep in mind that stories with explicit, vulgar, and offensive material will be deleted and the author blocked.
