The Luna Moth
Airships are large air-craft that use helium to stay afloat. This partnered with turbines strapped onto the ship allow it to move freely in the air. Airships are the primary mode of transportation in the nation of Windsor. They are utilized by private individuals and the military. Airships play multiple roles in the functioning of Windsor such as being cargo vessels, civilian transportation, military transportation, warships, and even restaurant ships as shown in the Amulet books.
Commercial Airships[]
Many types of Airships roam the skies of Alledia. But out of all these different varieties, Commercial Airships seem to be the most beneficial to society. Via wealthy figures, crews, and dreams, ships like the Luna Moth have been brought into existence to benefit not only their owners but civilians as well. With much simpler designs and an obvious lack of weaponry, there's been a multitude of incidents where flying creatures have attacked these large vessels. That is where Military Airships come in.

A Cielis Guard Airship
The Cielis Guard operated a small fleet of army transport airships. They included tall guard transports, bulky Colossi transports, and smaller support craft. Based on information from the book though, they are not he only people to use airships to their advantage. Airships, being able to float above land, have most likely been used in the past to fight those corrupted by their Amulets. Vital in both strategic and direct warfare, Military Airships will rule the skies for the unforeseen future.
