So, I copied this from a different discussion. BECAUSE I WAS THINKING THE EXACT SAME THING. I wnted to quote it, but it didn't let me. So here it is.
Just a MEGATHEORY.
Here, I will explain numerous things.
Who is David Hayes, and his MAJOR role in all of this. Elaboration on the plan of the Voice.
But most importantly;
THE IDENTITY OF THE VOICE'S MASTERS AND THE VOICE ITSELF.
What if I told you that David Hayes, is more than meets the eye. As it seems, Kazu depicts him, as essentially, a mere father figure, just someone who meant everything to Emily, but someone whom we really don't know much about other than such. Well, that would be bad character development, and Kazu is not the one to demonstrate such.
I want to take a look first, at the prelude in "The Stonekeeper"
Page 2, our first dialogue, notice what Emily says
"I think dad lives in an alternate universe"
"Time moves slower there"
Well Emily, I think you're correct, and let me school you as to why.
But i'd think you already know, don't know, by now at least.
"prince of the Elves," page 94-97
So we're going to take a look at the NAME of Vigo's son first, "David"
(Yes, I am aware that he was called Daniel, on the grave stone, but I highly doubt that Kazu has made a mistake, I'm basing this off the mostly updated material, as many authors tend to shift little things as a story progresses,)
So, as you can see, Vigo's Son, David does in fact resemble David Hayes. But just saying the two have the same name and look alike, that's not enough. We have to read further.
We know that David was upset about the death of his number from this passage.
We know he attempted to travel back in time to save his mother, and he had to do it, via the void.
BUT. We know he never found his mother.
I will tell what he DID find, and that was a new life.
A new life on earth.
We see that Vigo observes him in his sleep, we know from reading vigo listens to him talk. And under the assumption, we'd think he'd be likely talking to the voice. That assumption would be wrong
Notice how Vigo says "Imaginary Friends" as in FRIENDS, David was speaking to several people, not one. And I can conclude to you that it was indeed, his family on earth, under the Identity of David Hayes.
Again, lets go back to Emily's dialogue from page 2 of "Stonekeeper"
"Dad lives in an alternate Universe"
"time moves slower there"
"DAD LIVES IN AN ALTERNATE UNIVERSE."
Kazu is PRACTICALLY TELLING US THE ANSWER HERE.
Weeks passed on Alledia, with David in bed, when years rushed past on earth when David raised his family. Up into his death, as the car falls off the cliff......
...."when he finally opened his eyes....terrified" -Prince of The Elves, pg. 95
And it sticks out so much that even EMILY has made the connection, when she tells Vigo "I have to tell you something" (only she doesn't get the chance) SHE LITERALLY KNOWS.
And speaking of the accident, and David's visit to Earth, NONE of that I can tell you was any chance, this was part of ITS plan. David was disposed by IT because, he was no longer useful.
That's right, I claim that The VOICE was responsible for David's visit to Earth. Thus meaning, The VOICE is responsible for the conception of Emily. And the only reason the Voice was able to even have a connection with earth, was through David, who had TRANSCENDED THE VOID TO EARTH WITH DAVID.
Why? because the voice NEEDS Emily. And he's spent all this time now bringing her into existence, and now, he needs her on Alledia. He's traveled so far, and now freely able to roam on earth through David, he exacts the next stage of his plan.
All we have to do, is switch over to "Firelight" pg 155. In order for this answer to be revealed to us.
"You've been in my head too long" "I did everything you asked me to do"
Obviously, we know the David in this scenario is but the Voice in disguise.
The man knows this, and his dialogue reveals that his depression and suffering, have been CAUSED by the voice itself.
Yes I'm saying, The VOICE was the one who caused the accident,
The VOICE was the one who killed David.
But The VOICE brought David to earth anyway, because as part of the plan, he was meant to die here.
He planned it all. He intended it all to happen like this.
And when he finally kills David, he makes the fruit of his labors "Emily Hayes" susceptible to his control, and the only thing that he had left to do, was bring her to Alledia and begin the final stages of his master plan.
But in all this, all this planning, years of waiting, a whole FAMILY, brought into the middle of this. what IS this plan? What could it POSSIBLY BE?
TO SAVE HUMANITY ITSELF.
Amulet, is now be ruled as a Science Fiction graphic novel along with a fantasy. Some may have already said that it was science fiction, but the nail on the coffin was set with the release of 7.
Were introduced to the concept of space travel. We're further explained to the concept of colonization, that Alledia CANON LOGICALLY is a world that has been COLONIZED, colonized by PEOPLE/HUMANS. As previously, Vigo had stated that "Early Settlers" which are in fact HUMANS, as depicted from page 79 - 80 of "The Last Council." And this is further explained on page 116 of "Firelight"
With these bits of evidence present. We know for a FACT that humans were not an indigenous species of this world. Even the Elves are aware of this, as the young Trellius states.
The Elves, were the indigenous race of the world of Alledia. We see the Voice attempt to Destroy they're kind many times through war, (every 500 years infact)
All of which have failed till now. But that's only because the Voice has learned from its mistake. It has changed its strategy to include Emily. We see so many times that the Voice alludes itself to Chess. From the numerous games it has played, we see that it has changed its method, after so many failed attempts.
Attempts at wiping out the Elves.
But why. Why would it want to do this, it tells us in firelight, "to wipe out the current inhabitants of alledia" but also mentions Emily's family and friends.
That is because it cannot tell the difference.
Where am I going with this? I might start to not be making a lot of sense.
Let me enlighten you,
The Voice is a program. Designed to "Wipe out the current inhabitants of Alledia" to make way for "new inhabitants."
Knowing what we know that humans have colonized this world, through the means of "Early Settlers"
I can CONCLUDE.
That The "Voice" was a PROGRAM, which INTEGRATED with the mother stone, to which it's directive was to CLEANSE Alledia of it's current people, (The Elves,) but being a PROGRAM, it sees the residing humans (the early settlers) as such as well,
The Voice spent YEARS trying to successfully wipe out the Elves, and when it failed, being integrated with the Motherstone, it sent David to Earth via the Void when David attempted to utilize its power. The Voice USED David to create its solution to the eradication of Alledias inhabitants. Killed him when he was no longer useful so that his weapon, Emily Hayes would be easier to control, upon her arrival to Alledia.
From THERE. The Voice could FINALLY Complete the mission it was always meant to do, always meant to accomplish.
CLEAR THE WAY FOR THE REMAINING SURVIVORS OF THE DEAD PLANET EARTH.
There are ALWAYS, more humans, and we know well by now that Alledia not only exists in another region of space, but another time as well, a time where humanity has advanced to the point of long term space travel. A time where humanity has DESTROYED THE EARTH AND IS IN THE PROGRESS OF COLONIZING ANOTHER.
Recon missions and early colonization efforts had already been attempted. As the books have clearly stated. But as it seems. This is the final answer in terms of humanity's survival from its resource exhausted world.
