You know layra didn't need to die so tragicly i like her too i gotta admit she is pretty cute everyone in my class says so too we collect lots of amulet books in our library. I also feel sorry for her because she tried to show Max something but he refused he can be a real bugger these days...

It seemed that Layra and Trellis may are in the same age, while Trellis was also little inside the flashback scenes of the fifth book.

I actually cried a little bit when Layra died, some of my friends did too. I mean, would you cry if you tried to break your friend's parents and send them back to their home land, only then an airship uses a flame thrower or whatever to punish them for not pulling over? It hurts more since Max acted as if he had a crush on Layra.
